Who is the band who sings the original version of "Bittersweet Symphony", The Verbe, or Oa

Are they the same band????? I am confuuuuuused. Many artists and bands have made their own versions of the song, but I am between those two.

Who is the band who sings the original version of "Bittersweet Symphony", The Verbe, or Oasis?opera mini

It's the verve, not Oasis. The song contains a sample of an orchestra playing "The Last Time" by The Rolling Stones, and they were sued over it. The band has no relation to Oasis, and Oasis has never recorded this song. They are way too proud to play other people's music. A lot of people mistakenly label the song as an Oasis, and that might be why you thought they did it.

Its The Verve. I LOVE that song! No, not the same band.
it's actually the verve
The Verve
The Verve...to my knowlege Oasis never performed it.
It is The Verve.
It's the Verve - off of the album "Urban Hymns" Oasis never did a version of it, however Coldplay sang it at Live 8. Although the lyrics are written by Verve singer Richard Ashcroft, the songs music is credited to Rolling Stones Keith Richards and Mick Jagger, because the riff in it is from the Stone's 1965 song "The Last Time"
"Bitter Sweet Symphony" is a song by the rock band The Verve, and is the lead track to their third album, Urban Hymns. It was released 16 June 1997 as the lead single from the album, charting at #2 in the UK Singles Chart. The single was released to the US charts in early 1998.
The Verve. I love that song. Im listening to it right now.
