How do you like this poem part 2?

Alone

melancholy in the silence,

drowning in my pain.

the night you turned away,

and left me under the rain.

regret within the twilight,

what is it that I lack?

my dreams were shattered that day,

when my fears became a fact.

Emptiness by the abyss,

all hope crashing down,

this feeling comes and hits,

when you're not around.

solitude in the symphony,

dancing to the tune on my own,

these feelings creep to me,

whenever i'm alone.

Seek help with the phrase "little man/woman"?

What does the following sentence mean?

" I'm tone deaf myself, but i come to the symphony to keep the little man/woman happy."

Bsically, I am stuck at the words "little man/woman".

Help me out, please!

Little man/woman depends on whomsoever is saying it and refers to your spouse.

I would substitute with "my better half"

wife or husband
I go to the symphony because I want to make my significant other happy and to be there for them.
Little Man or Little Woman in your sentence above is another way of referring to one's spouse.

Another term often used is "old man" or "old lady".
They mean husband/wife.
They are referring to their spouse or significant other. It generally is referring to the wife, as women are generally smaller in height than a man. But it could apply to any size man when spoken by their mate.

It can also apply to a child or a parents daughter or son. My father use to call me his little man. It is a term of endearment.

Hi there, can anyone recommend a good site to download ringtones?

Would you think this guy is gay?

He dresses in old navy polos, jeans, flip flops, and hats a lot. When dressing "up", he always matches, shirts neatly ironed, no holes, rips, stains or anything EVER in his clothing. His house is decorated in Asian decor and is very clean. He is obsessed with Starbucks. He is very into science and technology and healthcare. He's friendly with a lot of people and is always kind and smiling. He's very attentive, a great listener, and gives sincere advice. He doesn't have a girlfriend. He likes little lap dogs. He's into art, theatre, musicals, the symphony, philosophy, science of mind, the law of attraction, buddhism and eastern religions, and is very cultured. Likes all kinds of music (even classical). Likes to write, read, write poetry. Can't fix a car, doesn't play sports, but does play 3 musical instruments. What do you think?

I know a lot of this is stereotyping, but sadly, that's what a large majority of society goes by. Stereotypes and assumptions based on outsid

not gay, just too good to be true.

Would you think this guy is gay?tickets opera theater

yes
hard to assume anything based on stereotypes - I mean this guy sounds like Felix Unger from the Odd Couple - who wasn't gay.. but pretty much seemed gay.

Spare yourself all this hypothesizing and just ask the guy..
sounds like a cultured man, I'm not sure what that has to do with being gay or not.
Those things don't necessarily make him gay, but they DEFINITELY explains why he doesn't have a girlfriend...
Sounds like a pretty cool person to me. Would it matter if he is gay?
There's no indication he likes guys.He could be shy.
No. I dated someone similar for years - he was a *dog* and definitely not gay.
Well first I would have to ask how and why you know so much about him and then ask if you were describing you in any way....but anyway as stereotypes go yes he does sound gay but I have known alot of guys who are exactly the same way and they are not gay. However gay guys are charming and normally very funny. I love the ones I know. Hope this helps...have a good day!!!
Would it matter if he was?
He isn't gay. He's very arts-oriented, but definitely not gay. Every gay man has a "trademark" thing that subtly clues you in if you look for it, and I don't see that trademark.
