I went and watched a group called Fusebox Funk perform with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra.?

During the performance a gentleman came out playing what looked like a violin/fiddle/electric guitar. It would be awesome to know what this instrument was called. It even had a pedal. Would be great to know what that instrument was called.

I don't know for sure without seeing it myself, but there are electric violins that work the same way as electric guitars, so a pedal would make sense, too.
